Cruise to Fenboa Finolhu, Meemu Atoll, Beach cleaning & BBQ Night
Today we sail to south for a further 2-3 hours, crossing to Meemu Atoll. As with the rest of the journey, we are hardly ever out of sight of island (weather permiting) and we cruise very close to many of the islands. Meemu Atoll has 41 islands of which 9, inhabited island, 2 Resorts and 30 are uninhabited. Some of the inhabited ones grow yams, and all of them are almost totally depended on fishing & Tourism. Here more than anywhere, we are likely to experience the true Maldivian way of life. Shortly after entering the Atoll we arrive to Fenboa Finolhu, another beautiful uninhabited Island where we aim base ourselves for night, again plenty of time to enjoy the beach and snorkel among the reefs. This afternoon we will do a beach cleaning and collecting plastic. The plastic you collect will be properly recycled through a local environmental nonprofit organization. 1 Million Tourist visits to Maldives annually, producing an average of 3.5kg of garbage each. This night a wonderful beach barbecue will be setup for you if the weather permits on Fenboa Finolhu. Overnight Accommodation on Boat Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
