Surfing Safaris

Surfing in the Maldives is tempered by our North-East and South-West monsoons. The surfing areas in the Maldives are divided into Malé Atolls, Central Atolls and South Atolls. Waves roll up like most point breaks with workable corners, fun pockets and long rides. Beginners, pros and all in between will be able to choose a surf break to suit individual skills.

Malé Atoll is one of the most popular surfing areas in the Maldives where the waves are close to each other, typically long, perfectly shaped and consistent. Famous surf breaks include Chickens, Cokes, Lhohis, Ninjas, Pasta Point, Sultans, Jailbreaks, KOG, Tombstones and Honkeys which is the longest left possibly in the whole country where the waves can give hundred meters of pure adrenaline driven fun.

Several world-class breaks have been discovered in the Central Atolls, mostly in the form of right- handers.
